Lucknow. View of Chattar Manzil Palace through the Chota Lall Bridge


This attractively displayed early 20th century photograph is titled on the decorative card The Chottey Lall’s Bridge with Unbrella Palace or Club in Lucknow.  It measures approximately 8 x 6 ins [202 x 147mm] and the card overall is 11.75 x 9.75 ins [300 x 247mm]. The Chattar Manzil or Umbrella Palace was used by the Nawabs of Oude [now Awadh] before 1857 and the bridge was one of the main crossing points over the river Gumti.
