An unidentified royal, cavalry or horse artillery bugler by a Bangalore photographer 1912
£55.00
A very good photograph, 5¾ x 3¾ ins, by W. V. Eden, Bangalore, India mounted on the photographer’s decorative card, 9 x 6¾ ins. The sitter is not named and his precise office is not known. He wears cavalry style uniform and his tropical service helmet is beside him. On his right sleeve is a cloth badge which appears to be a script letter L and he seems to hold a bugle in his, largely concealed in his left hand. He wears the 1911 Delhi Durbar medal. This image came with aug4/1 and we assume he is also in royal service. aug4/2
We have not been able to identify this uniform and it would repay further research.
