2nd King Edward’s Own Gurkha Rifles (Sirmoor Rifles)

A good photographic portrait of a Subadar Major, full length wearing tropical service dress with shorts, carrying a pistol. The photograph measures 5 x 3 ins [132 x 78m] and is in good condition, signed in the negative “Tundan 145”. It is pasted to a sheet of white paper and two other photographs on the reverse show groups of British and Gurkha officers of the same regiment, signed in the negative “K L Arora”, one numbered 205. The images probably are identified on the paper in typescript as North West Frontier 1941.    6  SOLD 24th March 2020
